My Turn To Wine - from 6-9 pm
Ladies Only Night at the Winery
Enjoy great wine and live music every Third Thursday of the month starting in February. The winery will be for ladies only. For the first few events, we have some wine 101 information to share during the first hour for those interested and after that, the evening is yours to catch up with your girlfriends, play board games or whatever suits your fancy.

FRIDAY NIGHT MUSIC - SUNDAY AFTERNOON MUSIC
Fridays 7 -10 pm, Sundays 2-5 pm
This year, we will be having music on Friday nights starting on Memorial Day weekend and lasting through the last weekend in September. We will also have live music on Sunday afternoons.
Performers and dates should be on our website event page by March 1st.

Junior League Cedar Rapids, Iron Chef Competition
Local chefs gather once again to show their talents as they compete for the coveted title of “Iron Chef”. Cibo Fusion returns to defend its title and will be competing against Kirkwood College of Culinary Arts Department along with two other local restaurants. Guests will get to sample an assortment of appetizers from the People’s Choice award participants. Wine and beer tasting included!

The Iowa Wine Growers Association (IWGA) is announcing its 10th Annual Conference to be held March 19 and 20, 2010 at the Holiday Inn Des Moines-Airport Conference Center, 6111 Fleur Drive, Des Moines IA 50321.
The 2010 conference will focus on the needs of the Midwest grape and wine industry, but is expected to draw participants from many other states and Canada.
A free educational session for IWGA members is scheduled for Friday afternoon. The workshop will be an update on Iowa's wine industry. Attendees will be given the latest news regarding legislative proposals affecting the wine industry, TTB licensing and regulations, and the Iowa VQA program. There will also be a Q & A session for all speakers. This workshop is free to IWGA members and is $15 for non-members.

Spirit of Spring
On Friday, March 26, 2010, from 7 to 10 pm the Cedar Rapids Marriott will be hosting the 21st annual Spirits of Spring, benefiting Variety - The Children’s Charity.
Eastern Iowa’s largest wine tasting event brings the best distributors in Iowa together to provide samples of fine wines, beers, spirits and specialty cheeses. The Cedar Rapids Marriott Chefs prepare hors d’oeuvres to specifically compliment the selections available.
This year’s “Theme Basket” silent auction is sure to have something for everyone.
Spirits of Spring tickets are $40 in advance or $50 at the door. This year tickets may be purchased on-line at online.varietyiowa.com/events/. Tickets are also available by calling the Eastern Iowa Variety office at 369-7806 or the Cedar Rapids Marriott at 393-6600. Tickets may also be purchased at any area Hy-Vee Food Store or Hy-Vee Drugstore.
